Before I wrap up my Casablanca, Morocco series, I just want to remind you to venture out of the usual tourist attractions that Morocco has to offer. Never settle on an idea, whether or not if you should cover an area based off of someone else’s opinion of that area. Exploration isn’t about labeling an experience to be good or bad, its about accumulating knowledge so that you can grow as a human.
Knowledge is power.

Casablanca isn’t the romantic postcard Morocco most people imagine.
It’s not the lantern-lit alleys of Marrakech or the dreamy blue walls of Chefchaouen.

Casablanca is a heartbeat; it’s modern, it’s layered, busy, and unapologetically real.
It’s the business suit rushing past the woman in a djellaba.
It’s the call to prayer echoing between glass buildings and ocean wind.
It’s a reminder that travel isn’t always aesthetic — sometimes it’s awakening.

In Casablanca, you don’t just sightsee —
you learn to move with intention:

✨ Keep your head up
✨ Walk like you belong
✨ And trust your instincts as much as your Google Maps

For women — especially Black women — Casablanca teaches resilience. I learned that not every area is welcoming. Yes, no one has to bend to me, because I decided to visit their country. In areas like that, you learn what you’re made of. Therefore, this is where you hold your boundaries while staying open. How to stay rooted in who you are, even when the world around you feels foreign.

Casablanca may not ask you to fall in love with it.
But it will help you grow.

And growth is a gift too.
